Be on the lookout

Be safe, be aware.

Residents of Germiston are asked to be on the lookout for several vehicles believed to be linked to crimes in the area.

The first is a Grey BMW, which was spotted at the scene of a housebreaking in Sunnyridge. The registration is unknown.

The second is described as a “white private vehicle”, and the make and model are unknown at this time. This vehicle was seen at a housebreaking in Marlands.

The third is a White Mercedes, registration unknown, used by four men in a house robbery in Sunnyridge.

The men managed to get away with jewellery and various electronic equipment.

Finally, a Green Toyota Camry, registration HVC 547 GP, was used by four men in the robbery of a business in Wychwood.

The residents of Germiston are asked to be on high alert, as a lot of reported crimes are taking place during the day, while most residents are not at home.

The would-be-robbers are known to ring door and/or gate bells and will target houses where there is no answer.

Residents are asked to report any sighting or incidents to the Sector One 24-hour patrol police vans on 071 675 6864/5, or the Primrose police on 011 842-0500/0522.
