Don’t forget the SAPS appreciation day

Come and show your support for the SAPS.

Residents are reminded that the Germiston Central CPF (all five Germiston sectors) will be holding an SAPS Appreciation Day this Saturday (November 16).

The day aims to show the men and women in blue, who protect the community daily, that the community appreciates everything they do for residents.

“People are fast to air negative views about the service received from the police, and very seldom show appreciation for the good work that is done,” said Jean Ingram, vice-chairman of Din-Al-View CPF Sector Five.

“A small token of appreciation will go a long way to show these members how much we care.

“At the end of the day, they are people just like you and me, they have families to go home to and support.”

The SAPS Appreciation Day will run from 9am to 4pm, at the Germiston City Sports Club, in Vimy Ridge Road, Delville.

There will be various stalls available, as well as jumping castles and other fun activities for the whole family to get involved in.
