Violence no more

The Alberton SAPS support the 16 Days of Activism campaign.

The Alberton SAPS supported the 16 Days of Activism campaign at an event at the Rondebult sports grounds, where the community was made aware of domestic violence against women and children.

Speeches were made by various people, including the social crime prevention officer, the station commander, a member of the CPF, a member of the Youth Desk, councillors, and other community leaders.

Proceedings started with a march from the entrance of Rondebult to the sports grounds, and this was followed by the speeches, where after different games were played, with the police involved.

Pamphlets with safety tips and awareness information were distributed to the community.

The whole project was a success and the Alberton SAPS thank everyone who was present and those who donated drinks and sweets for the day.

Trophies and medals were won by the different teams during the games.
