Shelley Britz is looking for her missing dog, Nala.
The 10-year-old Yorkshire terrier went missing at about 7am on March 28, from her Elandshaven home.
“We have followed protocol, contacted SPCAs, vets and rescue centres, as well as putting up pamphlets at shops and doing post box drops, but to no avail,” said Shelley.
“We are begging the person who has picked her up to do the right thing; please give her back to us.
“We are devastated and just want our baby back.
“Nala has a home, where she is loved.”
Nala is female and is very small – she weighs about 1.4kg.
She is silver and tan in colour and her tail has been docked.
The dog has a squashed trachea, so she coughs and stops breathing when excited or nervous.
She also has a problem with her skin, as she chews her paws, making them bleed.
Her teeth need to be cleaned every six to 12 months, otherwise she can go into toxic shock, as the bacteria would run down her throat and affect all her organs.
If anyone has seen Nala, or if you have found her, contact Shelley on 072 064 1007.
