The Germiston City News received a call from a concerned resident, who wishes to remain unnamed.
She explained that there was a burst water pipe in Chapman Road, in the Germiston CBD.
“I have called the metro to report the burst pipe several times, and still nothing has been done to repair it,” she said.
“I don’t understand why the metro takes so long to respond to reports of this nature.”
The GCN contacted the metro in an attempt to find answers.
Themba Gadebe, of the metro’s department of communications and brand management, informed us that “a team has been dispatched to the site to do repairs”.
There was no mention of why the metro took so long to respond to the matter.
