Ready to Run Sale coming up soon
TBA gets ready for the Ready to Run Sale.
With the 2014 Emperor’s Palace Ready to Run Sale coming up soon, more details of the events leading up to the sale are emerging.
The sale takes place at the TBA (Thoroughbred Breeders Association) Sales Complex, in Gosforth Park, on November 2.
- Catalogues:
At the time of closing the sale, 114 horses had been entered.
The online catalogue is available on the website: www.tba.co.za and the innovative Ipad App is also ready for use.
The printed catalogues are expected to be available for distribution soon and, as per usual, will be available at all racecourses and training centres.
- Breeze up gallops:
A limited number of horses will breeze at Turffontein Racecourse on October 13.
Video recordings will be uploaded shortly thereafter.
The majority of the draft will go through their paces at Yellow Star Stud, on Thursday, October 16, from 10.30am.
Last year’s event was a great success and those attending the gallops enjoyed a great day out in the Mooi River countryside, with fine food, wine and music being enjoyed by all.
This year, in conjunction with Balmoral Stud and the other consignors, including Yellow Star Stud, Ambleway Stables, Far End Stables and Greenhill Farm, Bloodstock South Africa is hoping for an even bigger turnout from buyers and local breeders.
- Sales week:
The majority of the horses are expected to arrive at the TBA Sales Complex on October 26.
This will give the horses time to settle into their new surroundings and give buyers ample opportunity to view the animals at their leisure.
- Emperor’s Palace Ready to Run Sale:
With the smaller catalogue and numerous pre-sale viewing days available this year, the sale is scheduled to start at 12.30pm, with an estimated finishing time of 5pm.
