An investigation has been launched into the escape of convicted killer and serial rapist Lungisani Mdlolo.
Mdlolo, dubbed ‘One Man’, who terrorised the communities of Kliptown and Klipspruit in Soweto before his arrest in 2012, escaped from the the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court yesterday (Tuesday).
It’s believed Mdlolo wasn’t wearing leg irons while he was being moved between holding cells and the court room.
He was due to be sentenced following his conviction on three counts of rape, one of murder and five of armed robbery.
A manhunt has been launched to find Mdlolo.
It has been reported that Mdlolo’s victims have been living in fear that he may return and take revenge on them, since his escape.
