Don’t forget to get your “Zumba” on this Saturday and to join Hirsch’s at their “Zumbathon Branch-Hop for Charity”.
The event, on December 13, will see Martie Spanenburg and the Zumbathon team visiting the Hirsch’s branches to get your feet moving.
The Zumbathon Branch-Hop for Charity” will kick-off at Hirsch’s Boksburg at 9am to 10am and then move to Hirsch’s Meadowdale from 11am to noon.
The Boksburg store is located at the K90 Centre, corner of North Rand and Rondebult roads, while the Meadowdale branch can be found at 12 Herman Road.
Three charities will benefit from the fund-raising initiative, namely, the Germiston branch of the SA Red Cross Society, Haven Care in Benoni and St Francis in Boksburg.
Entrants are requested to bring along three hygiene-related items, for example toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, cream, toilet paper etc.
All the items will be distributed equally between the three charities.
The theme for the event will be “lumo” and participants are encouraged to dress to theme.
Participants can also look forward to the chance of winning some awesome prizes.
“These Zumbathon’s feel more like a party than a dance and exercise class,” said Brigitte Thysse, the public relations officer at Hirsch’s Boksburg.
“The best part about it is that you do not need to do Zumba on a regular basis to participate.
“Even if you are a terrible dancer and have two left feet, we will still ensure a fun and exciting experience for a good cause.”
