The Primrose CPF has the following safety tips for residents:
- Do not leave your vehicle parked on the pavement – this is an open invitation for criminals to take it.
- Do not leave valuables on the seat of your car, when driving or even when parked in your yard.
- Have a light on in your yard at night, criminals cannot hide in the light.
- Make sure your gate is closed properly when you leave your property and at night when you go to bed.
- Ensure that your gate cannot be lifted off the rails, have a plate welded on the top of the gate.
- When leaving a shopping centre, make sure you are not followed.
- Do not park in your driveway while opening the gate.
- Do not stand and chat to friends or family in the road.
