The Primrose police recently arrested a 32-year-old man for the possession of blasting cartridge/explosive.
The arrest was made while members of the Primrose SAPS were on patrol in the Marlands area.
Officers observed three men walking at Dally Road.
The three were acting suspiciously so officers decided to stop the men and search them and the heavy bags they were carrying.
During the search officers found a blasting cartridge/explosive in one of the men’s bags.
“The officers on scene questioned the 32-year-old but he was unable to give a clear explination where he had got the explosive or what he planned to do with it,” explained communications officer for the Primrose police Sgt Styles Maome.
He was arrested and brought to the Primrose Police Station for detention.
