Machine amputates man’s arm which results in his death

ER24 paramedics responded to a scene in Elandsfontein earlier today (Friday) where a man’s arm was amputated while he was using a machine.

The man believed to be 30 years old died due to his injuries.

It is understood that the man was working on a machine, at a business premises in Elandsfontein, when his arm was caught in the machine.

When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene they found the man lying next to the machine.

He was assessed and it was found that he sustained severe injuries and blood loss after his left arm was amputated.

He was treated and transported to the closest medical facility.

Unfortunately despite all efforts the man succumbed to his injuries.

The exact cause of the incident is unknown.
