No load shedding planned for today

Eskom is currently not load shedding as it has adequate generating capacity to meet the demand in electricity.

However, the power system is expected to be constrained during the evening peak period (5pm to 9pm) mainly as a result of increased electricity demand.

The company encourages consumers to consider energy efficient ways of keeping warm.

In winter the electricity demand peaks in the morning and evening as more electricity is used during these times.

Eskom will provide regular updates on the status of the power system through all the media platforms.
