The Botes siblings, from Parkhill Gardens, Kyle, Tammi and Aimee, have been hard at work raising funds to make their dream of going overseas a reality.
The Germiston City News told their story last year (GCN, November 21, 2014).
Tammi and Kyle are raising money to attend the 23rd World Scout Jamboree in Yamaguchi, Japan, and Aimee is raising funds to attend the Arts (Applause Rising Talent Showcase) in Orlando, Florida.
Their mother, Vanessa Botes, was pleased to reveal that the siblings have reached their goals and will be heading overseas.
“Aimee left for the US on June 15 to attend the Applause Rising Talent Showcase organised by international talent scout Kim Myers, where she is representing Just-You Model and Artist Management, and will be performing in the acting, singing, dancing and modelling categories, in front of industry professionals,” Vanessa explained.
“Tammi and Kyle will be heading to the 23rd World Scout Jamboree, in Yamaguchi, Japan, on July 22.”
The family thanks everyone who came forward to help the siblings reach their dreams, whether through sponsorship or support.
These include: First Germiston Scout Group, First Lambton Scout Group, Germburg Ranger Crew, Scouting SA, Girl Guides South Africa, Anua Music School, Renata School of Dance, Lindsay Fothergill, Just-You Model and Artist Management, Applause International, TW Packaging, Shanduka Enterprise, Protea Hotels, A Holman Trading and Texamo Spur.
