Katlehong’s cluster police stations arrested a total of 66 suspects over the weekend of July 17 to 19.
The cluster is made up of Dawn Park, Vosloorus, Zonkezizwe, Eden Park, Tokoza, Katlehong North and Katlehong police stations.
The suspects were charged with various crimes, including, assault, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, robbery, armed robbery, domestic violence, possession of counterfeit money, theft, malicious damage to property, shoplifting, driving under the influence of alcohol, rape and drug possession (dagga and nyaope).
A number of illegal immigrants were also arrested.
The suspects will appear in the Palm Ridge and Vosloorus Magistrates Courts soon.
