Thirty-two suspects were arrested by the Primrose police from September 7 to 13.
Charges included:
- Driving under the influence of alcohol: 4
- Common assault: 3
- Assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 3
- Possession of suspected stolen property: 4
- Possession of drugs: 2
- Possession of counterfeit cigarettes: 1
- Armed robbery: 3
- Murder: 1
- Selling liquor without a licence: 1
- Housebreaking and theft: 1
- Illegal immigrants: 9
The Primrose SAPS station commander, Col Mduduzi Khuzwayo, thanked everyone who contributed to the arrests.
Most of the suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
The illegal immigrants will be sent to Lindela, for deportation.
