Man arrested for business robbery

Primrose police arrested a 29-year-old man for allegedly breaking into and robbing a Makause informal settlement tuck shop.

A Makause informal settlement tuck shop owner was recently woken by the sound of someone in his store.

He went to investigate and discovered a man, known to him, with bottles of liquor and several cold drinks.

When the accused saw the complainant he ran away.

During a closer inspection of the store, the owner discovered the man had gained entry by forcing the front door open, and had made off with goods valued at R300.

He opened a case at the Primrose Police Station and officers arrested a 29-year-old man on business breaking charges.

The accused will appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court soon.
