A Makause informal settlement tuck shop owner was recently woken by the sound of someone in his store.
He went to investigate and discovered a man, known to him, with bottles of liquor and several cold drinks.
When the accused saw the complainant he ran away.
During a closer inspection of the store, the owner discovered the man had gained entry by forcing the front door open, and had made off with goods valued at R300.
He opened a case at the Primrose Police Station and officers arrested a 29-year-old man on business breaking charges.
The accused will appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court soon.
