A man and a woman, wanted for a house robbery committed in Johannesburg recently, were nabbed in Wychwood last Monday.
They were arrested by members of the EMPD Equestrian Unit.
The metro police received information about a BMW 3 series parked next to a primary school in Wychwood.
“Upon checking out the vehicle and its two occupants – an Ethiopian man and woman – it emerged that the couple were wanted by the police for a house robbery as per a Booysens SAPS case number,” said Lieut Col Wilfred Kgasago, the spokesman for the EMPD.
“The 28-year-old woman and the 37-year-old man were arrested and taken to the Booysens Police Station where their BMW was also booked in.”
