Celebrate Nelson Mandela’s life’s work through an act of kindness

Epworth Children’s Village is urging the community to spend their 67 Minutes helping at the village.

Epworth Children’s Village is gearing up for Mandela Day on July 18.

In celebration of the day, Epworth is asking community members to dedicate their 67 Minutes of service towards worthy causes to benefit the youth at the village.

“We invite you and your organisation to join us on this special day as we work together to make a difference for the children,” said Roberta Ingrato, public relations and human resources manager at Epworth Children’s Village.

You can care for the youth on this day by:

  • Organising a meal.
  • Organising a friendly game of soccer or netball.
  • Donating winter clothing and pyjamas.
  • Donating food items.
  • Donating educational toys and books.
  • Paint or repair infrastructure at Epworth.
  • Mentoring someone.

The opportunities are endless and Epworth has a comprehensive list of ways you can help.

The home will take volunteers between 9am and 4pm on July 18.
