A 37-year-old man was allegedly threatened with a firearm at his home in Vosloorus Extension 20, in Katlehong, recently.
“The victim was allegedly threatened by two brothers, aged 28 and 34, respectively.
“It is reported that the suspects went to the man’s home to demand taxi permits, during which time an argument ensued,” said Capt Mega Ndobe, corporate communication official for the Katlehong SAPS.
“During the argument the two men allegedly pulled out their firearms and threatened the victim.
“No shots were fired.”
The man opened a case with the Katlehong police soon after the incident.
“The two men were found at the Vosloorus Basothong Hostel, where they were arrested,” said Ndobe.
The men will appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court soon on charges of pointing a firearm.
