The Primrose police have had a busy start to the new season, arresting 27 suspects for various crimes in the Primrose area from September 4 to 10.
This is according to the latest arrest statistics released by the station.
The accused were charged with crimes, including possession of drugs, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault, driving under the influence of alcohol, business break-in and theft, fraud, possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition and attempted murder.
The Primrose SAPS station commander, Col Albertina Vesi, thanked everyone who contributed to these successes.
Most of the suspects have appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court and their cases have been postponed for various reasons, while others paid admission of guilt fines and were released.
