“He was always smiling, had no problems and was very loving.” These are the words of Ané Stols, who spoke to the GCN after the death of her six-month-old baby boy, Callum, on Wednesday morning in Fourth Avenue, Primrose. Callum was attacked by a pit bull and died at his grandmother’s house just after 7am.

A six-month-old baby boy was killed on Wednesday after he was bitten multiple times by a dog at a residence in Primrose. This was confirmed by ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring. “ER24 paramedics arrived on scene at approximately 8.15am and were led into the lounge of the home where they found the body of the child,” he said.

Mother opens case against daughter’s older boyfriend

A mother recently opened a case against her 15-year-old daughter’s 26-year-old boyfriend after she discovered that the pair were allegedly having sex. “The complainant told officers at the Primrose Police Station that she had become concerned when her daughter stopped sleeping at home,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police. The woman further explained that her daughter said she had been staying with friends.
