Members of the Katlehong Crime Prevention Unit held several successful stop-and-search operations over the weekend, with help from the EMPD and detectives from the Katlehong Police Station.
During the operation held from November 17 to 19, officers arrested 20 suspects for a number of different offences.

Charges included:
• Assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 4
• Common assault: 5
• Possession of dagga: 2
• Attempted murder: 1
• Kidnapping: 1
• Crimen injuria: 1
• Driving under the influence of alcohol: 1
• Theft: 1
• Fraud: 1
• Assault of a police officer: 1
• Warrant of arrest: 1
• Trespassing: 1
All of the accused appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
