Become a police informant and help stop crime – urge police

The Katlehong SAPS are urging community members to come forward and become police informants.

“Informants will work with detectives by giving information on crime in the area, information on on-going investigations and tip-offs.

“The identity of these informants remains strictly confidential with only the police officer working with them knows their name and contact information,” explained Capt Mega Ndobe of the Ekurhuleni West Cluster.

Ndobe explained that the information brought forward by these community members would not only help the police stop crime in the area but could also be an extra source of income.

“Informants will be paid according to the information they provide,” Ndobe explained.

For more information on how to register and become a Katlehong police informant, call 082 778 9391 or 072 120 7772.
