According to the latest arrest statistics released by the Germiston Police Station, 77 suspects were arrested between May 14 and 20.

Charges included:
Possession of dagga: 13
Driving under the influence of alcohol: 18
Assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 3
Intimidation: 1
Theft: 10
Shoplifting: 7
Armed robbery: 2
Rape: 1
Robbery with a weapon: 1
Dealing in drugs: 1
Interfering with police duties: 1
Public violence: 1
Common assault: 4
Possession of drugs: 5
Fraud: 4
Contempt of court: 1
Possession of suspected stolen property: 4

All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
