The Primrose police have noted the rise of several crimes in Marlands and Wychwood.
“We have noted an increase in the number of theft of motor vehicles, hijacking, robbery and house break-in and theft cases being reported in these areas,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

To warn the community about these troubling crime trends, officers from the Primrose Police Station and members of the Primrose Crime Prevention Youth Desk took to the streets, recently, to distribute safety tip pamphlets.

“With the festive season fast approaching, criminals will be looking to make some extra money,” said Maome.
A total of 300 safety tip pamphlets where distributed during the door-to-door campaign.

“A big thank you goes out to the youth desk members for the wonderful job they are doing,” Maome said.
