A 45-year-old man was arrested by the Primrose police recently, in connection with a Rietfontein Road house break-in and theft.
“The complainant alleged that when he went to sleep all his doors and windows were locked and nothing was out of order.
“When he woke up the next morning, however, he discovered a gas bottle, cellphone, gazebo and torch were missing,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

The victim suspected a duplicate key was used to gain entry to the home, as no doors or windows appeared to have been forced open.
Following several leads the police arrested the accused and took him to the Primrose Police Station.
He has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court, where his case was postponed for plea and trial.
