It was a busy weekend for the Katlehong police.
Officers from the Katlehong police’s Crime Prevention Unit, with help from the EMPD, arrested 16 suspects during a number of different operations held in the area between February 8 and 10.

The accused were arrested for a number of different offences.
Charges included rape, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, armed robbery, house break-in and theft, driving under the influence of alcohol and dealing in dagga.
All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for a number of different reasons.

Katlehong SAPS acting station commander Col Doctor Sibuyi called for the community to report crimes and criminal activities in the area, even if it is anonymously, to help in the fight against crime.
