Fourteen suspects were nabbed by Katlehong North police during several different operations held between May 17 and 19.
The accused were charged with various offences.

Charges included murder, common assault, possession of drugs, possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, driving under the influence of alcohol, hijacking, contempt of court, domestic violence and dealing in liquor without a licence.
Officers also confiscated volumes of alcohol during the closing of illegal taverns and a firearm that’s serial number had been removed, and six rounds of live ammunition.

Katlehong North SAPS station commander Col Reginah Rampota congratulated the officers involved following the arrests.
All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
