Officers from the Katlehong SAPS Crime Prevention Unit continued their crime prevention efforts with a stop-and-search operation last Thursday.

The team was assisted by detectives from the Katlehong Police Station.
Thirteen suspects were arrested during the operations for several different offences.
Charges included common assault, possession of drugs, rape and driving under the influence of alcohol.
Katlehong SAPS station commander Col Sammy Thambo encouraged the community to help in the fight against crime.

“Together we can make Katlehong a crime-free zone,” said Thambo.
All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
