Red Cross celebrates students’ graduation

Ancillary health care students are ready to face the working world.

The Germiston branch of the South African Red Cross Society recently held a graduation ceremony for some of its ancillary health care students.

Family and friends joined the graduates to celebrate their success.

The students and Germiston Red Cross staff enjoyed the ceremony.

The 12-month ancillary health care course includes the following: home-based care, first aid and HIV training, numeracy, literacy and community development.

Thirty per cent of the course is theory and 70 per cent is practical experience.
