The Primrose police arrested 20 suspects between January 9 and 15.
This is according to the latest arrest statistics released by the station.
The accused were charged with a number of different offences.

Charges included assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault, driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of drugs, house break-in and theft, malicious damage to property, dealing in liquor without a liquor license, child neglect, rape, theft, illegal gambling and contempt of court.

Primrose SAPS station commander Col Albertina Vesi thanked everyone who contributed to the successful arrests.
Most of the suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court where their cases were postponed for various reasons, while others paid admission of guilt fines at the station and were released.
