Law-enforcement agencies launch Easter operation

Brig Pule Phillip Mokoena reminded law-enforcement agencies of their mandate to provide a safe and secure environment.

The joint law-enforcement agencies kick-started the launch of the Easter law-enforcement operation in the early hours of March 31, covering the N3 Freeway at Heidelberg Weighbridge.

The Easter operation started with police visibility along the N3 freeway, R42 road, R23 road and R551 road from 4am.

It was followed by a multi-disciplinary roadblock along the N3 freeway Heidelberg Weighbridge.

The Department of Transport will be launching a new technology that will assist in the reduction of corruption.

The Sedibeng acting district commissioner, Brig Pule Phillip Mokoena, reminded law-enforcement agencies of their mandate to provide a safe and secure environment as well as enforcement of the laws of the country without fear, favour or prejudice.

Mokoena encouraged members to always promote and maintain good quality service delivery and professionalism while on duty.

Police conducted stop-and-searches during the Easter law-enforcement operation at the N3 freeway in Heidelberg Weighbridge.
