WATCH: Vosloorus residents protest for speed humps

Motorists are forced to take alternative routes as rocks and burning tyres have been placed on Mc Botha Drive in Vosloorus.

Protest underway at Mc Botha Drive, Vosloorus Ext 1 as residents are protesting for speed humps near Lesedi Shopping Center.

Residents used rocks and burning tyres to block motorists from using Mc Botha street in Vosloorus.

A resident who refused to have his name and photograph taken told Kathorus Mail that the protest started last night.

He said a lot of people have died in the area because of car accidents as there are no speed humps and taxi drivers do not use the stop signs.

He said it has been a while since they informed the councillor about this but nothing has been done.

This is a developing story.
