The purpose of the campaign was to sensitise the community about hijackings, house burglaries, house robberies, domestic violence and sexual offences.

“Flyers with safety tips were distributed to warn the passing motorists and the visitors who are coming into Buhle Park at any given time to be alert of hot spots,” said Elsburg police spokesperson Sgt Daphney Phooko.

“Criminals target victims who are parked outside their yards and in driveways. We urge residents to be vigilant and take precautions,” said Phooko.
