Bowen International School aims to improve the lives of those in underprivileged communities through the faith-based organisation Kasie Outreach.
The school recently donated clothes to Kasie Outreach and previously donated parcels to assist victims of a shack fire in Delmore informal settlement.
School principal Nadia Gaffoor said educators and parents have the responsibility of teaching children to share and give to the less fortunate.
“I believe in the spirit of giving. The school’s next fund-raiser will be to collect non-perishables and distribute them to families in our communities who are going through financial difficulties.
“Community members can drop off their contributors at our school at 174 Radio Road, Elsiehof, in Germiston,” said Gaffoor.
Kasie Outreach founder Simphiwe Malunga said they are pleased to receive the donation and they will distribute the donations at Magagula Heights.
“We can donate to people who are really in need,” said Malunga.
