Mpingana family wants answers from his killer

The police have confirmed that the suspect is out on bail after she handed herself to the police.

The Mpingana family of Holomisa Park, north of Katlehong, are puzzled by the unexplained death of their 33-year-old son Nkosithandile Mpingana and the detention of his girlfriend after she handed herself over to the police.

According to the grieving family, Nkosithandile died in the early hours of August 28.

The girlfriend allegedly confessed to the police that she stabbed him with a knife in the chest following an altercation during a midnight drinking spree.

But the Mpingana family has accused her of not being honest with the family and to the police in her confession.
Nkosithandile’s eldest sister, who asked to remain anonymous, believes the woman must tell the police the truth about how her younger brother met his death.

The Mpingana family hope the police will be able to pressure the woman to reveal more about what transpired on the night Nkosithandile was stabbed to death.

The police have confirmed that the suspect is out on bail after she handed herself to the police.

Capt Mathobela of the Katlehong North SAPS told Kathorus MAIL the case was registered at the Germiston SAPS but was later transferred to the Katlehong North police since the scene of the crime was at the Mandela Section, in Katlehong.

Detectives are investigating the case.
