Help cops trace dead man’s family
On July 23 at around 22:30, Zonkizizwe SAPS was notified about the body of a dead man lying along a road in Magagula Heights.
Upon their arrival, the police searched the man’s pockets and found an ID document, which revealed his identity. They cannot disclose the man’s identity before his next of kin is notified.
An inquest docket was opened and detectives followed all the leads, including visiting the physical address sourced from the ID number but could not locate the family.
According to Sgt Rufus Tema of the Zonkizizwe SAPS, the man was wearing black jeans, a black-and-white jersey and white rubber (beach clog) shoes.
“We again appeal to families with missing male relatives to come forward and identify two deceased bodies and claim them for burial,” said Tema.
