Following the release of 2021 matric results, Sacred Heart College achieved a 100% pass rate and a 92% bachelor’s degree pass rate.

Eighty per cent of the school’s learners received one or more distinctions.

Lynn Walker, head of marketing, events and admissions for Sacred Heart College said completing their last year of schooling during the pandemic has sharpened the former matriculants resilience and grit.

“It forced the learners to reflect on their purpose in this life and encouraged appreciation and gratitude of their life’s memories, adventures and all that they hold dear including family, friends and teachers,” said Lynn.

Top achievers from the school included Jyhan Adam and Adela Jardine who both attained seven distinctions while Tanyaradza Kaseke achieved six.

Jyhan placed in the top 1% for information technology and top 1% of candidates in the IEB who placed in the top 1% in five subjects.

Jyhan also received a seven for life orientation.

Adela placed in the top 1% for English and business studies.

Sacred Heart College congratulated all of its matriculants.

“Your creativity, sense of community, ability to think critically and collaboratively will extend far beyond Sacred Heart College,” said Lynn.

“This is a solid foundation that will hold you in good stead as each of you moves on to the next stage of the great journey of your life.”
