Katlehong SAPS management welcomes the Easter holidays in prayer
Police pray for safe Easter celebrations.
Katlehong SAPS welcomed the Easter holidays with a prayer for safe Easter celebrations on April 12, as the country will be heading to the Easter long weekend.
The prayer session was organised by Sgt Siduana of Katlehong SAPS, with support from bishops, chaplains, pastors and reverends from different churches.
According to Katlehong South SAPS communications officer Capt Mega Ndobe, it was a good initiative attended by both police members and community elders.
“We heard and learnt that forgiveness comes from the cross when Jesus asked God to forgive the people who did not know what they were doing,” said Ndobe.
He said every bishop, pastor, chaplain and reverends were given a chance to preach the Word of God, and those who attended the service learnt a lot about Jesus Christ on the cross.
“It was a wonderful and blessed day for Katlehong police. We hope the ministries will keep on coming to pray for the police and preach the Word of God,” said Ndobe.
Katlehong SAPS station commander Brig Albertina Vesi was highly impressed with the service.
