They hosted a door-to-door awareness campaign to distribute pamphlets containing safety tips and emergency numbers. The station commander of Primrose SAPS Col Eunice Nzuza commended the efforts by the SAPS and the Youth Desk.

“We believe this will equip the community and help them remain safe. Together we can make Primrose safe,” said Nzuza.

Sgt Styles Maome, Primrose SAPS corporate communications officer, appealed to the community to be careful as the number of house burglary reports increased.

“Criminals derail gates or sometimes even enter through open or unlocked doors and windows. Most reports do not indicate any signs of forced entry.

“We urge the community to check if their doors and windows are properly locked before they go to bed.”
