Kidnapped man rescued as four suspects arrested in Cleveland
Police rescued a kidnapped man unharmed and arrested four suspects during a multidisciplinary operation in Cleveland after a ransom demand was made for his release.
Police rescued a kidnapped man unharmed and arrested four suspects in Cleveland on August 18 following a ransom demand and alleged transactions from the victim’s bank account.
The victim was allegedly kidnapped by unknown suspects at his business premises on August 15. Several transactions were reportedly made from his bank account, while a ransom was also demanded for his release.

Police arranged a drop-off as part of the operation, allowing officers to move in and arrest four men.
Two vehicles and four cellphones believed to have been used in the commission of the crime were seized.
The suspects are expected to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court on August 19.
Police are continuing their investigation and are looking into possible links to other crimes.
