Locals enjoy Christmas Village experience

Locals got into the festive spirit when they visited the Christmas Village, Emperors Palace.

Germiston residents embraced the festive spirit at the third annual Christmas Village at Emperors Palace, which opened on Friday, November 22.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by the Palace of Dreams’ entertainment manager, Irvin Nkosi, alongside complex operations executive Clive Tavener, Imagineering Experiences’ managing directors Alan Busuttil and Frikkie Cornelius, and Cadbury brand manager Shree Moodley.

Imagineering Experiences is the creative force behind the enchanting village.

Primrose Hill residents Ashleigh Higgins, Lester Palmer and Esther de Santos attended the event.

Guests entered the Christmas wonderland through the Tunnel of Lights, embarking on a magical journey through attractions such as the North Pole, Forest of Fables, Santa’s Village, the newly added Garden of Lights, Tom Bola’s Funfair Alley, and the Stone Town Stalls, which offered ample opportunities for festive shopping and culinary delights.

With over 90 vendors, there is something to delight every visitor.

This year’s highlight is Tom Bola’s Funfair Alley, featuring carnival-style games and challenges, including the popular Money Shower. Visitors can also capture memorable moments with Santa Claus.

The Christmas Village, catering to all ages, is open daily from 15:00 to 22:00, on level 5 of the complex parkade and will run until December 31.

Tickets are available via TicketPro, with discounted rates for Winners Circle members.
