Be part of Cansa’s eShop and support #GivingTuesday initiative
When you purchase a gift from CANSA’s eShop, you are helping to raise funds that enable the organisation to better serve those affected by cancer in South Africa.
The Cancer Association of South Africa (Cansa) has announced the launch of its CANSA online store or eShop which coincided with Giving on December 3.
Giving Tuesday is an annual event described as a ‘global generosity movement’ created in 2012 to encourage people to give back to their communities, support local non-profit organisations, such as Cansa and help those in need.
“There are several ways to participate in Giving Tuesday,” said Elize Joubert, Cansa CEO.

“It could be by donating money, volunteering your time or buying a gift from our eShop, which is similar to making a financial donation but has the added benefit of simplifying your festive season gifting.
When you purchase a gift from our eShop, you are helping to raise funds that enable us to provide better service to those affected by cancer in South Africa,” she added.
Purchasing a gift this festive season on Cansa’s eShop store doubles up as a ‘gift’ for the association and the people it supports.
With more than 30 items to choose from, ranging from Cansa mugs, headwear, socks, running and cycling gear, shopping bags to sunhats for little ones – gift-givers are spoilt for choice.
“It is another way in which people can engage with us and help to make a positive difference in the work we do.

“Next year, we are looking forward to developing our eShop into a platform not only for raising funds but also for raising awareness of cancer and encouraging participation in Cansa-related events, such as our annual Shavathon and Cuppa for Cansa High teas, Cansa Relay for Life and Cansa Active,” shared Joubert.
While most items carry the Cansa brand, some are branded specifically for the association’s fundraising events and can be used at those events as prizes, decoration or for activities, such as the wide range of hair colour sprays for Shavathon events.
“It is about making a positive impact and spreading kindness,” said Joubert.
