Germiston bank broken into over Easter weekend – police launch manhunt
Investigators probing entry method as suspects remain at large following weekend heist.
Gauteng police have launched a manhunt after a Germiston bank was broken into over the Easter weekend, with an undisclosed amount of money stolen.
The bank was last reported secure when staff closed on April 19.
Security guards discovered the break-in on April 22.

“It is reported that everything was in order when the employees closed the bank on April 19,” said police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Mavela Masondo.
“In the early hours of the morning on April 22, the bank security discovered that the bank had been broken into.
“A case of business burglary and theft has been opened. Investigators are working to establish how the suspects gained entry and identify those responsible,” said Masondo.
No arrests have been made, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
