“We hope this gesture brings comfort and happiness to many children and makes their Easter celebration a truly memorable one,” said Ford.

She said they chose Chubby Chums because of the meaningful work they do. Chubby Chums is a non-profit organisation established in 1999. They play a vital role in child protection across Johannesburg and the Far East Rand.

Working closely with Child Protection Units, the organisation also serves as a Child Protection Officer, ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children.

Over the years, its impact has expanded significantly, now supporting 36 children’s homes with essential care, protection, and resources.

Despite its remarkable work, Chubby Chums relies heavily on community generosity to sustain its programmes.

Donations, whether monetary or in the form of food, clothing, blankets, bedding, or other essentials, are always welcome and deeply appreciated. Each contribution helps provide comfort and stability to children facing difficult circumstances.

“We encourage the community and local businesses to continue supporting initiatives like this, which bring hope and dignity to those who need it most,” said Ford.
