Allied Steelrode Charity Mile to support 20 charities

One lucky attendee could win a brand-new Suzuki Swift while supporting vulnerable communities during an unforgettable day of racing at Turffontein Racecourse.

The stage is set for one of South Africa’s most meaningful racedays as the Allied Steelrode Charity Mile returns to Turffontein Racecourse on October 31 with arrival from 11:30.

The barrier draw for the prestigious event will take place on October 21, also at Turffontein Racecourse from 11:30.

More than just a day at the races, the initiative is built around the theme ‘Racing with Purpose: Giving Back Through the Allied Steelrode Charity Mile’.

The racing industry has inspired the Allied Steelrode team to become involved in initiatives that not only celebrate the sport but also uplift communities and support those in need.

Their involvement with the Allied Steelrode Charity Mile stems from a shared passion for making a difference.

Together with charities and stakeholders, they have embraced the opportunity to use horse racing as a platform to create awareness and generate support for charities that work tirelessly every day to change lives.

The Allied Steelrode Charity Mile is more than a race. It is a celebration of generosity, community, and compassion. The initiative shines a spotlight on the incredible work being done by 20 deserving charities, giving them a platform to share their stories, connect with supporters, and inspire meaningful change.

The charities from Joburg South include Door of Hope, Cotlands and The Hamlet Foundation.

The event is all about giving back, creating awareness, and recognising the remarkable impact these charities have on the lives of vulnerable children, families, animals, and communities across South Africa.

Community members are invited to join for an unforgettable day of racing, entertainment, and charitable giving.

Entry is free, and one lucky attendee could drive away in a brand-new Suzuki Swift, proudly sponsored by Allied Steelrode.
“Together, let us help revive the excitement and passion of horse racing while making a meaningful difference in the lives of others,” says group CEO and founder of Allied Steelrode Arun Chadha.
