Tebbutt’s Academy kick-starts the year
The Tebbutt's Mixed Martial Arts Academy, in Lambton, has started 2016 on a high with an outstanding performance at the first tournament of the year organised by shihan Raymond Phillips.
Lambton’s Tebbutt’s Mixed Martial Arts Academy has started 2016 on a high note, with 15 students earning their colours in January.
The students earned their colours during the Eastern Gauteng Kickboxing trials, organised by shihan Raymond Phillips.
“All of our competing members received Eastern Gauteng colours,” said the club’s hanshi, Alex Tebbutt
“They did all of us proud .”
In February, six of the academy’s members also took part in the World Martial Arts Organisation’s tournament
All six competitors walked away from the event having earned a first place medal.
The academy now turns its attention to the tournament to be hosted by shihan Abdul Jogie, at his Dojo in Durban, at the end of March.
