Loots has embraced every opportunity to grow as an athlete. As Dr EG Jansen does not field a girls’ rugby team, she proudly represents the Greenside High School Girls Rugby Team, where she continues to showcase her talent and passion for the sport.

Her rugby journey began at a young age and has been built on years of dedication, discipline, and passion for the game. Her commitment to excellence has seen her progress through the ranks and establish herself as one of the region’s most promising young female rugby players.

In 2026, Loots joined the Marks Park Rugby Club Valkyries, further strengthening her development as a player.

Competing at the club level has provided valuable experience and allowed her to test herself against some of the province’s top young rugby talent.

Her performances throughout the season earned recognition from coaches and selectors, culminating in one of the biggest achievements of her young career: being selected for the Golden Lions U16 Girls Team to participate in the 2026 National Girls Rugby Week.

The prestigious tournament will take place from June 29 to July 4 at Kearsney College in KwaZulu-Natal, bringing together the country’s top young female rugby players and providing a platform for future stars to showcase their talent on the national stage.
