Alberton SAPS celebrates officer’s hard work

Sgt Maite Lina Mobida was commended for her hard work in securing a guilty verdict.

Alberton SAPS commended the stellar work of one of their officers, Sgt Maite Lina Mobida.

Through her diligent work Modiba ensured that a suspect was prosecuted and found guilty of possession of a stolen vehicle.

The vehicle was spotted by officers in the Alberton area on May 15, 2019, after it was taken from the Ekurhuleni District Police Station.He has been sentenced to six years in jail with a five year suspended sentence in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.

“Through her experience she left no stone unturned and managed to relate the critical information to the court of law,” said Capt Manare Ramotshela, spokesperson for Alberton SAPS.

Modiba’s hard work was recognised by the leadership of Alberton SAPS under station commander Col Doctor Sibuye with a certificate celebrating her achievement.
