About Heidelberg Nigel Heraut
Heraut Heidelberg/Nigel is from humble beginnings and was established in 1985 when a need for a community newspaper for the residents of Heidelberg and Nigel was established.
Heraut is a local weekly free newspaper with a print order of 20 000 copies distributed in all suburbs of Heidelberg and Nigel, with fixed drop-off points in Balfour every Wednesday.
The newspaper boasts ± 80 000 readers and cater for the Afrikaans as well as English audience.
Heraut journalists do thorough news coverage in Heidelberg as well as Nigel and editorial space are also set aside for Balfour. News featured for Balfour include coverage of police news, municipal issues, schools as well as community events.
For just over 35 years, Heraut has been the voice of their communities, taking pride in both the towns of Heidelberg and Nigel’s achievements.
